Chapter IV. Hiren's Boot CD and the End of Student Life

The first lecture at BSUIR, a huge hall with about two hundred first-year students. The lecturer switches on the projector and a Windows password prompt appears on screen. Quiet panic, a search for the password on stickers under the keyboard, calls to colleagues. Fifteen minutes pass.
Then a simple and merciless thought hits him: what can a person teach me if they cannot log into their own computer? He stood up, walked quietly to the machine, took out a Hiren's Boot CD and reset the password in a minute.
He looked around the hall and understood he would not come back here.
